Yesterday we had a scenario in our Pre-Prod Environment that we were unable to connect to SCOM Console. Then checked the event log for errors and found DW related errors with the instance. SQL team checked and had to restart the SQLService for the SCOM Instance. During first restart, SCOM DB was not up. Then they had restarted it again, but during this time it was rolled back and after completion, DB was up. Then we had restarted the Data Access Service on 2 Mgmt servers and able toconnect and see the alerts getting generated. We have not rebooted the Management Servers. But, when checked it was showing all MS & Agents are showing in Grey (Healthy in Grey Color). I restarted all SCOM Services, Data Access, Config & SCM services on Mgmt servers and they started now showing them as healthy. But still the Agents areshowing as unhealthy (in Grey Color only). Was it due to SQL server restart? If so, now, what needs to be done? If we reboot the Management servers, does this issue resolve?I checked event viewer from MS and found the below warning errors:Event ID: 2115 - A Bind Data Source in Management Group PRESCOM has posted items to the workflow, but has not received a response in 360 seconds. This indicates a performance or functional problem with the workflow.Workflow Id: Microsoft.SystemCenter.CollectEventDataInstance: SCOM001Thanks & regards, Naren. I would restart a hand full of agents OpsMgr health services, to see if that helps the agents appear green in the opsmgr console. If it does not, I would query the OpsMgr DB to make sure the dbs did not loose information about agent machines. There shouldbe a sql query in this list to show agent machines I say loose information, I mean the SQL Team rolled back the db, OpsMgr Agents just don't drop out of the db under normal circumstances.hope this helps!Scott Moss MVP (Operations Manager) Please remember to click “Mark as Answer” on the post that helps you! Hi Naren, you'll have to do some troubleshooting in order to identify the cause for this. Please take a look at the Monitoring pane - Operations Manager - Management Server. What is the MS state displayed there? Try to identify which monitors are affectedin order to be able to identify which compoenent or service is exactly problematic. Then, please look at this article (I am recommending it very often as it contains pretty good troubleshooting guides):Troubleshooting Gray Agent States in System Center Operations ManagerHope this helps.Regards,Stoyan (Please take a moment to 'Vote as Helpful' and/or 'Mark as Answer' where applicable. But, our case is, after restarting the SCOM DB, up and running, since then all the agents under MS are showing as Healthy but in Grey (not in Green). Now I cannot troubleshoot each and every agent, right? When we restarted the agent on MS they are showing as healthy. But still the agents under both MS are showing as Healthy with Grey.Hence, I am looking for a single solution so that all the agents should turn to greenThanks & regards, Naren. Hi Naren,i fully understand what you want to achieve, but prior to resolving a problem, you have to identify what is the casue. After you have identified the cause for the issue, then you can think of a possible solution and how to apply it to all of the affectedservers. Please try some troubleshooting with a single agent and then see if the solution applies to the other affected agents. I cannot imagine that SCOM didn't alerted on the affecetd agents. What are the alerts stating? What monitors are doing the alerting for theaffected agents. It could be that you have different causes for the grey agent state on the different servers (worst case). Please check also the Operations Manager event logs on the affected servers. What related events do you see there? The event you posted (2115) relates to the DB not being accessible or also when the DB has performance issues. If you see the event only whenthe DBs was down, then you can ignore it. If it is still being logged, than you have to check the performance of your DB. If you have the settings in the.ini file as follows and TeamViewer is in that folder it won't leave traces on your PC.Settingsnosave=1importsettings=0LogIncomingConnections=0LogOutgoingConnections=0You either changed the.ini file or you run the TeamViewer.exe from somewhere else where the.ini file is not available to provide the settings. In this case TeamViewer Portable uses the registry and logs the connections.Hope this helps understanding TeamViewer better. Let me know if it worked out.Best,Constantin FalcoianuTeamViewer Germany.
